SCHEDULES
8am-6pm
The Bilingual Vichy Montessori School offers a pedagogy based on the method developed by Maria Montessori, combining the quest for autonomy and a caring environment for the child.
Right in the city center, the school is made up of two learning environments:
3-6 year olds, 6-12 year olds.
Our educational approach favors individualized teaching, recognizing the uniqueness of each child and taking into consideration their overall development: physical, emotional and intellectual.
In a caring environment that respects their development, children will be able to flourish every day. This educational method emphasizes learning through experience and manipulation, encouraged by suitable materials, thus aiming to encourage the child’s natural development through practical activities, autonomous exploration and freedom in a prepared environment.
The core values of our school include self-confidence, autonomy, cooperation and creativity.
welcomes children from 2 and a half to 6 years old. This mix of ages, a virtuous circle, allows the youngest to be stimulated by the observation and activities of the older ones. The older ones are valued by responsibility, and have the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge by helping the younger ones. Sociability, mutual aid, respect, community life, sharing and collaboration are all skills that the child will develop throughout these 3 years.
is an environment that includes the workspace, equipment and furniture. This carefully prepared environment will allow the child to evolve, through repeated experiences, as many times as he wishes, acting as an actor in his own development by promoting his self-confidence. Five distinct areas are distributed in the environment: practical life, sensory life, language, mathematics and discovery of the world in ascending order of presentation by the educator from the simplest to the most complex.
Scientifically developed by Maria Montessori, it adapts to the strength and size of children and is a real aid to development. The educator presents the material individually, adapting to the child’s pace of acquisition.
allow the child to freely choose their activity. Presented by the educators, the child will take and handle the material for as long and as many times as they need.
in charge of the atmosphere, will be the guarantors of the proper application of the pedagogy.
Taking advantage of the child’s absorbent mind to immerse himself in a second language, the atmosphere offers French/English bilingualism.
is the study of the entire universe, both a discovery of its rules, its laws, and also the process by which the young child, exposed to the complexity of creation, can continue his work of development. By observing each child, the educator identifies their learning needs and proposes an individual and weekly program linked to the common core of skills.
This is the name Maria Montessori chose to describe her educational plan for children ages 6 to 12 to help the child’s natural development. Cosmic education is the study of the entire universe, both a discovery of the rules of the universe, its laws, and also the process by which the young child, exposed to the complexity of creation, can continue his or her work of development. By observing each child, the educator identifies their learning needs and proposes an individual and weekly program in line with the common core of skills.
The spirit of reasoning and imagination characterizes the child of this period, he becomes an intensely social being and must work in a group. The children will discuss, debate and work together. The lessons are presentations given in groups. Once again, the adult will have to ensure that there are appropriate rules: what is work and what is not, find an appropriate way to talk to each other, to disagree, to respect each other’s opinions, to take turns and to value everyone in the group.
Each week, the educator will review the past week using the logbooks to plan the different exercises with the material for the following week. In a climate of trust, the child will be full of suggestions for their learning and will be able to self-evaluate. The educator, trained in Positive Discipline, supports children in the development of social and emotional skills through fun workshops.
allow the child to freely choose their activity. Presented by the educators, the child will take and handle the material for as long and as many times as they need.
Whether your child already speaks English or not, they will benefit from an ideal environment to develop their language skills.
In a bilingual setting, two educators – one in English, the other in French – accompany the children every day.
The Montessori pedagogy promotes the development of young bilinguals, by allowing children to experience daily immersion. This process stimulates their curiosity and openness to the world while facilitating language learning.
We are delighted with the educational experience offered by the bilingual Montessori school. The staff is exceptional, always caring and attentive to the needs of the children. The Montessori approach, combined with bilingual learning, allows our child to flourish fully, both academically and personally. It is a warm environment where each student is encouraged to grow at their own pace. We highly recommend this school to all parents looking for a quality education.

A big thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, your listening and all the good you can bring to Alessio and all these children! How lucky to have you with us. I would never have imagined finding so much listening. So thank you very much.

The warmth of this school stands out from other schools in the area like a warm, shining star. Their staff truly loves children and has the patience to let them learn and discover for themselves. You can treat each child like grass and cut them all to the same height, or you can give them sunshine, water, tools, and encouragement and let them bloom different flowers at different heights. What I see in this school are children who are confident, who love to learn, who love to be challenged, who support each other, and who shine like diamonds.

Graduated Montessori educator for children from 6 to 12 years old, as well as in Positive Discipline. My daily work with children brings me a deeply joyful and fulfilling experience. Each day is an invitation to discovery, exploration and growth, not only for the children, but also for me.
Ethiopian by origin, I grew up in several African countries. After studying Biochemistry, Microbiology and Genetics in France, I went to live in Egypt. It was there that I discovered the world of teaching and more than a revelation, it would become a vocation.
After 23 years of classical education, I followed the Montessori educator training for children aged 3 to 6 at the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori in Lyon. I experiment with this method with passion, joy and enthusiasm. It allows both to reveal the potential of each child while contributing to his/her development and that of the educator who accompanies him/her.
Originally from Australia, I lived in Sydney until I was 18. I devoted myself to my children by giving English lessons to young children. In 2023, I discovered the Montessori method and was immediately won over by this method which corresponds to my personality.
It is therefore with joy that I joined the Bilingual Vichy Montessori team and that I followed the Montessori Assistant training in 6/12 years at the ISMM and I take great pleasure in supporting the children on a daily basis by speaking to them in my mother tongue.
After studying English in Paris, I worked in primary and secondary schools in Glasgow and near Lyon. I then worked in a school in Reykjavik with children aged five to seven. Discovering Montessori pedagogy during a visit to schools near New York was a turning point and a challenge that led to my desire to follow a training course. I obtained the AMI 3-6 years old educator diploma, English, in Perugia.
