A unique educational project in Vichy

Vichy Montessori is a non-profit association dedicated to providing children with an educational environment that is respectful, stimulating, and tailored to their individual pace.

Vichy Montessori Bilingual School offers an educational approach inspired by Maria Montessori, placing the child at the heart of their learning journey. It encourages independence and nurtures each child’s natural curiosity. The school welcomes children from 2½ to 6 years old, and from September 2026, it will also open a dedicated classroom for children aged 6 to 9, within spaces thoughtfully designed for each age group.

The Montessori method emphasises learning through experience and hands-on activities using specific materials. Children naturally develop their skills through practical work, independent exploration, and the freedom to act within a carefully prepared environment.
ogether, let’s create a place of learning, respect, and joy for our children.

An independent, trusted, and recognised school

Vichy Montessori School was recently visited by officials from the French Department for National Education. This external review confirmed the coherence of our educational approach, the quality of the environment offered to the children, and the seriousness of our operations. This recognition represents a mark of confidence for families in the Vichy area who choose an alternative school attentive both to children’s development and to a well-structured framework.

The Children’s House

Ages 3–6 Environment
The Children’s House welcomes children aged between 2½ and 6 years old. The mixed age group allows the younger ones to be inspired by observing and engaging in the activities of the older children, while the older ones gain confidence and consolidate their knowledge by helping and guiding the younger ones.
Sociability, cooperation, respect, community life, sharing, and collaboration are key skills that the children develop and strengthen throughout these three formative years.

Bilingualism

A rich and stimulating bilingual environment
Every day, children receive presentations in both French and English in a natural and seamless way, giving them continuous and authentic exposure to both languages.
Through the Montessori method, this immersion takes place gently: children learn through observation, repetition, and interaction. This process stimulates their curiosity, broadens their awareness of the world, and fosters deep and lasting language learning.

“We are delighted with the educational experience offered by the bilingual Montessori school. The staff are exceptional—always caring and attentive to the children’s needs. The Montessori approach, combined with bilingual learning, allows our child to flourish fully, both academically and personally. It’s a warm, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to grow at their own pace. We wholeheartedly recommend this school to any parents seeking a truly high-quality education.”

“Our son has been enrolled for two years now, and it’s been wonderful. He’s happy, he learns joyfully at his own rhythm, and his teachers are fantastic. He has even started speaking English at home! Every morning, he goes to school with a smile, and we leave him there with peace of mind. The children are kind to one another because the whole atmosphere is positive and respectful. Each child is truly at the centre of their learning—and that makes all the difference. Here, education adapts to the child, not the other way around, allowing them to be who they want to be.”

“The warmth of this school truly sets it apart from others in the region. The staff genuinely care for the children and have the patience to let them understand and discover things for themselves. You can treat every child like grass and cut them all to the same height, or you can give them sunshine, water, tools, and encouragement—and let them blossom into different flowers, each at their own height. What I see in this school are children who are confident, who love to learn, who enjoy challenges, and who support one another.”

Créativité Curiosité

Elementary

Opening September 2026

The Elementary Class is a place where children explore the universe as a whole, its patterns, its laws, and the complexity of creation. This framework allows each child to continue their natural development while discovering the world around them.

Each child is individually observed by the educator, who identifies their needs and designs a personalised weekly learning programme in line with the national curriculum.
This approach fosters independence, focus, and intellectual curiosity.
